Our new school year had just started!

Our new school year had started with an assembly of the parents where we had introduced our plans and goals of the year. We had modified the weekly schedule – mainly by moving the extra lessons like horseback riding and swimming to the afternoon – in order to optimize the lessons. With this action the children had gained more time for free play and the teachers has more opportunity individual developing, according to their special needs.

In order to support the foreign children’s Hungarian language skills as well as help the Hungarian children to improve their verbal development we held two Hungarian lessons a week (20-30 min). As a new element we held special gymnastic lessons (Opavszki Szilvia) to the children once a week, where beyond of gaining a better posture and avoiding back problems we improve their co-ordination, gross motor skills and rhythm skills.

After the 3^rd week in September, we start the pre-school lessons again, to prepare those children who are going to school next September. Also this time the speech therapy will continue parallel with Árpád Borsányi’s child-psychology sessions.

Árpád will also take part in the kindergarten’s life by holding drama-pedagogy lessons. Here the children can be supported for expressing their personality and find solution to their little difficulties (learning difficulties, concentration problems, emotional problems, etc) in their life. In these classes we take special care that they carry out their own thoughts rather than act for outside impacts.

.On Wednesdays our American religion teacher will held Bible-knowledge lessons for the middle (Shetland) and the big (Dartmoor) group

From October our dietetic prepares a monthly menu for the winter season in order to provide the continuous vitamin and mineral needs of the children, with keeping the variety of our menu.

By the end of next week we will finish the maintenance work on the garden and parallel Ms Kornélia Schlosser will finish her giant painting on the wall behind the playground area.

Commencement – 31th of August

We kindly invite all of the Green Pony’s children and their parents to our commencement meeting on the 31th of August 2010, at 4.30 pm. We will introduce our new teachers and our child-psychologist and private teachers (dance, gym). We also inform you about our annual pedagogical plan.

Place: Green Pony Kindergarten, Érd, Felső u. 8.
